Midi Mock App Reviews
Good app but..
Theres not an option to record the music. There must be a record button. Maybe with an upgrade?
I got this App so that I could use my laptop keyboard to control midi signal to software synths in logic pro 9, unfortunatley it doesnt work so well for that purpose. While in the Logic Pro 9 window the keyboard will not control the midi mock app. Switching to the midi mock window allows you to contol the note with the keyboard, but then you cant do anything in the logic Pro 9 window. if you want to hash out ideas on the go, it works, but with no options to record or route the audio to a program that does record it renders this app useless for any productive purpose. Only works as standalone software.
Just what I needed
I just needed something to send MIDI as an output so I can ingest it with another app. This worked just fine.
This is a very nice piece of work for the price. It does very well for testing with other MIDI apps/devices. Its strangely missing some capabilities though, like sending program change events. I notice it hasnt been updated since 2011. Hopefully it can be soon. Thanks!
I have a USB turntable setup that I normally use but like to play around with just the laptop sometimes. Sadly DJay doesn’t allow you to use your keyboard but this app worked great with it. Thanks!
I got this app from the App Store because I wanted something that would convert my QWERTY mac keyboard into a midi controller for my softsynth plugins inside Pro Tools (12) however it does not seem to work or be able to do that at all. I tried any combination of the settings... is there a way to do this?
